Dashel Urban Cycle Helmets

We’ve been looking for a suitable cycle helmet to sell at The Traditional Cycle Shop for a long time so we’re very pleased to be stocking the Dashel urban cycle helmet.

Made in the UK
Dashel manufacture their light, safe and comfortable helmets here in the UK. Dashel (pronounced dash-le) Dashel means thistle in Cornish. The first factory Dashel worked with is in Cornwall and the thistle is one of Cornwall’s native flowers. As it's colourful and protective, they decided to take it as their brand name. Dashlel now manufacture in Devon, Leicestershire and Northern Ireland too.

Sustainable
Dashel is committed to sustainable manufacturing and ethical business practices. They have designed a new version of the their helmet with a liner and a shell that can be recycled, as product design and manufacture needs to be circular not linear. They’re not just saying that this helmet is recyclable, Dashel is going to enable the process - their manufacturers will grind down the shell to make new ones.
