'Banana Bike Rockets' by Caroline Burrows

Here’s the third poem from our resident poet Caroline Burrows. If you prefer you can hear Caroline reading the poem HERE

I’m out on my bike, bananas in my back pockets,

Potassium propelling my pedals uphill.

Friendly shells containing yellow-green rockets,

Healthy fuel for when this cyclist needs to refill.

Leave no ‘nana behind if they get mashed out on duty,

Back home at base camp, blitz them into a smoothie.
